Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

The South Carolina College of Pharmacy (SCCP) accepts 190 students to its pharmacy program on an annual basis – 110 on the campus of the University of South Carolina, and 80 on the Medical University of South Carolina campus. Over 700 applications are received annually.

The SCCP Pharm.D. is a full-time degree program requiring four academic years, which includes introductory practice experiences and advanced practice experiences that must be completed during the summer semesters. Applicants accepted to the program have an average GPA of 3.6 and an average PCAT score of 76. To be eligible to apply to the program, applicants must complete approximately two years of undergraduate pre-pharmacy courses at any accredited college or university.
