| The South Carolina College of Pharmacy (SCCP) accepts 190 students to its pharmacy program on an annual basis – 110 on the campus of the University of South Carolina, and 80 on the Medical University of South Carolina campus. Approximately 600 applications are received annually. |

A total of 212 hours (66 hours of prepharmacy courses and 146 hours of
professional program courses) are required for completion of the Doctor
of Pharmacy degree.
The SCCP Pharm.D. is a full-time degree program requiring four academic years, which includes introductory practice experiences and advanced practice experiences that must be completed during the summer semesters. Accepted to the program have an average GPA of 3.6-3.7 and an average composite PCAT score of 70th percentile rank. To be eligible to apply to the program, applicants must complete approximately two years of undergraduate pre-pharmacy courses at any accredited college or university.
