Campus Life

Nearly 800 students are enrolled in South Carolina’s professional pharmacy program – at both the USC and MUSC campuses. And, although the curriculum is serious and the rotations a critical part of their education, our students also find time to enjoy the college life, campus environment, and the communities in which they live. From student activities and organizations, to SEC athletics and the charm of an historic city, South Carolina’s pharmacy students take time out to have fun while they are becoming tomorrow’s pharmacists.

Student Government Association
There are two Student Government Associations of the College of Pharmacy – one on the USC Campus, and one on the MUSC Campus. The membership of the SGA is leadership from all student organizations, as well as Class Officers and University delegates.

The Student Government Association provides organization to the many events, both social and professional, for the student body.

Phi Lambda SigmaPhi Lambda Sigma
The purpose of Phi Lambda Sigma, also known as the national Pharmacy Leadership Society, is to promote the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students. By peer recognition, the Society encourages participation in all pharmacy activities. Since membership crosses fraternal and organizational lines, the Society does not compete with other pharmacy organizations.
Phi Lambda Sigma honors leadership. Members are selected by peer recognition. No greater honor can be bestowed upon an individual than to be recognized as a leader by one’s peers. Such recognition instills and enhances self-confidence, encourages the less active student to a more active role and promotes greater effort toward the advancement of pharmacy.
