|The South Carolina College of Pharmacy offers or is affiliated with residency programs in hospital settings and in community settings. Hospital residents focus on developing practice skills in differentiated areas and are delegated clinical, teaching and service responsibilities. Community pharmacy residents focus on developing and implementing innovative patient care programs within a community setting.
The hospital residency program at MUSC, one of the oldest and largest residency programs in the United States, recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and was recognized with the 2008 American Society of Health System Pharmacists Award for Excellence in Residency Training (Program Award).
