FantasTech, a Conference featuring the enhancement of education through technology, was held February 5-12. Daniel Brown, IT Director, presentation entitled “Renovating Distance Education Delivery Classrooms: One Classroom at a Time” focused on the renovation of CLS 215 and how it is conducive to distance education delivery.
Arieus Alcide, SCCP Webmaster, delivered a powerful presentation on incorporating a blog, Twitter, Facebook and other forms of digital media to increase student interaction between campuses. Arieus’ presentation, “Building Stronger Connections Through Social and Digital Media in a Multi-Site Distance Education Program”, was a participant favorite.
Francess Murray, Instructional Technology Consultant, spoke on how to support distance education on a multi-campus Pharmacy Program. “Musical Chairs: Best Practices in Managing Multiple Distance Education Classrooms in a Multi-Campus Pharmacy Program”. Francess’ presentation concentrated on the Instructional Technology used to smoothly deliver classes on all campuses every day.
