Terry Dixon, hired
recently as the new director of development for the University of South Carolina (USC) campus of the South Carolina College of Pharmacy, brings a wealth of
experience to USC pharmacy development.
"Terry is a seasoned advancement
professional with experience and expertise in major gifts, sponsorships,
special events, alumni and communications," said Randy Rowen, USC
campus dean."She is a welcome addition."
Dixon had been serving as director of development for the USC
College of Mass Communications and Information Studies, where she was
responsible for major gift fundraising and also provided oversight for alumni
relations, special events and fundraising communications. She also headed
development efforts for Children’s Hospital at the University of North Carolina
and Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.
A graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., she earned
a master’s degree in educational administration from USC and an Executive
Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
Susan Ward, the
former director of development, has relocated to Greenville but will continue
to work the pharmacy campus there as she takes over responsibilities for
the USC medical school in Greenville.
